Baroque Church of San Giacomo
17th Century Church overlooking the bay dominating the Hamlet of Corte.
It features important frescoes by Nicolò Barabino and it is a wonderful example of Baroque architecture and styling
According to historic sources, this Church is dated back A.D. 1000.
In a second phase, in 1600, the Church was rebuilt larger than the previous structure, changing also the orientation.
The building features three naves and a Sculpture of the Madonna della Lettera dated back the 19th Century, besides beautiful freacoes by Nicolò Barabino.
In the elegant facade, which has a Baroque style, you can admire a marble Statue of Saint James.
