In May 2007, my husband Marco and I engaged the Italian Wedding Event to help us coordinate paperwork and reserve a wedding location for a small civil ceremony in Italy. Ms. Federica Nascimben, owner, personally handled our event, and she provided outstanding service. We couldnât have been more pleased.
With little time to plan the ceremony from the United States, Federica offered by far the best options for our needs, was the most responsive,and the most cost effective. Other wedding planners in Italy were not enthusiastic about helping us plan a two-person eventâbride and groom only. Federica gave our tiny wedding the same level of detailed attention that Iâm sure she gives the most elaborate ceremonies.
Despite the 6-hour U.S. and Italy time difference, communicating with Federica via e-mail was never an issue. Since we donât speak much Italian, she communicated with us in English, which she speaks/writes very well, in addition to other languages. She was always responsive to my emailsâand there were manyâday and night. In fact, my husband and I wondered when she slept!
We appreciated that Federica was always responsible in getting back to us when she said she would with the information she promised; she never left us hanging or wondering what to do next. This was particularly important because we had little time to plan, and had some complications with gathering paperwork. She helped us every step of the way, helping to calm my fears and assuring me that all would be fine. She made numerous phone calls on our behalf and exchanged what seemed like limitless e-mails.
Throughout the process, Federica presented us a number of options for wedding locations and services that fit our budget and desire for a simple ceremony. She made good recommendations, but never tried to push additional services that we didnât want. Â We finally met Federica and two of her associates in Siena, where we married in the Siena Wedding Hall. She was in person just as she was throughout the long distance planning phase âprofessional and delightful.
Our wedding day was short, simple, and beautiful for us. For anyone considering marriage in Italyâlarge of smallâI highly recommend the services of The Italian Wedding Event. Federica and her staff are a class act organization, clearly skilled in the craft of professional wedding planning and a pleasure to work with.
