We want to share our amazing experience working with The Italian Wedding Event.
After making the decision to travel from California to Italy for our dream destination wedding, my husband and I knew we needed a fantastic planner to help us get there and make this fantasy become reality.
Never having been to the country, we sought out someone who would be our guide through this experience, would be responsive to our requests, and would be our eyes in a foreign place. We wanted to find a special person that we could build a relationship with, and someone we felt confident would understand our vision. We knew exactly what we wanted and we are forever thankful that we found The IWE - the full package.
It all started with an email, and the deal was sealed once we video chatted with Fede. She Is kind, intuitive, intelligent, organized, and honest. She is the real deal and we knew immediately she was the one for us! The decision was made and it was time to plan!
Little did we know at the time that we would have the pleasure of working with two amazing women from IWE, Fede AND Francy!
We started working primarily with our wedding day angel, Francy, throughout the months leading up to the big day and she couldn't have been more of a helpful, sweet soul! She kept us in check and progressing through the details every step of the way, exactly what we needed! She provided endless recommendations, travel information, and she was our voice to the hotel, venues, restaurants and more!
This brings us to THE DAY. May 15, 2015 and a massive storm had taken over Lake Como. As the bride, my nerves were wild thinking of all of the damage the rain would do to everything we had planned. I was so wrong, and Francy was the best thing to ever happen to us! She was soaking wet from all of the rain the entire course of the day and still made our wedding the #1 priority from pre-ceremony to our reception dinner party.
She helped me preserve my hair, makeup, dress and all else with plastic bags, jackets, hair nets and anything else necessary to get me 1/4 mile up the hill to our ceremony spot and my groom. She held the umbrella as she was rained on, helped me run when it really started to downpour, re-fluffed me, put my heels and veil on, and got me down that isle.
The Italians say a rainy wedding day is lucky, and all I know is we were beyond lucky that she was with us start to finish. She turned any tragic thought into a smile, and she helped turn a rainy wedding day into a day full of bliss.
Anyone should feel lucky to meet and work with Francy and we are forever thankful for all of the hard work, creativity, and guidance the IWE provided... To anyone who is considering a wedding in Italy and wants to create their dream ceremony, let IWE lead the way!
