We chose to use The Italian Wedding Event to plan our Lake Como wedding after reading many positive reviews on the hotels page on TripAdvisor. We are so glad that we did!
Francesca was an absolute pleasure from the very first email received some 2 years before the wedding date! Communication throughout was excellent with responses received within a day even in busy periods (usually same day).
Francesca was happy to make recommendations and offer advice throughout when asked to ensure that not only the basics were in place but that all of the other little touches that make the day special were thought of. This attention to detail and level of organisation gave us both the confidence throughout to be able to sit back and relax and enjoy the build up to the wedding without stressing about paying vendors, organising boats/menus/musicians etc.
The legal piece was also very well explained and we were left in no doubt that everything had been covered before we left for Italy. Francesca travelled from Rome to attend the wedding in Lake Como and arrived the night before the wedding. We sat down and discussed the day and handed over all of the bits and pieces to be used on the day.
The wedding day itself could not have went any better. Francesca was the first to arrive and the last to leave. She met with the bride on the morning to walk her to her hair appointment and stayed around all day overseeing flower deliveries, photographer arrival etc. She was always there and available if you had any question without ever getting in the way and made sure that the day ran without a hitch.
We had some rain later in the evening as they were serving our meals and she quickly had everyone in doors along with the food, centre pieces, table decorations, wine etc.
All of the guests were so impressed with the job Francesca had done and commented on how lovely she was and we personally cannot thank her enough.
